It’s a dynasty that Commerce wrestling has built, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. On Saturday at the Macon Coliseum, the Tigers earned their fifth straight Duals State Title in Class 1A.

Other local programs that won a title included Jefferson (17th straight) in Class 4A and North Hall in Class 3A and Buford in Class 5A.

Commerce’ road to the championship looked like this:

RND 1 – Commerce 69, Strong Rock 9

SEMIS – Commerce 61, Irwin County 9

CHAMPIONSHIP – Commerce 68, Wesleyan 6

Habersham Central (6A) also did well in making the state tournament, and won one match while falling in two others.
