The wait is over for the release of the 2018 football schedule of the White County Warriors, as the team tweeted out the slate on Thursday afternoon. For the Warriors, 2017 was a complete 180 from a dismal 1-9 2016.

Under new head coach Tim Cokely, who has a strong pedigree and is a championship-caliber coach, the Warriors not only took a step forward, but they made history with a 7-4 season that saw them get back to the state playoffs after a three-year absence. They nearly knocked off powerhouse Jefferson on the road in the first round.

The 2018 schedule features a scrimmage at home against rivals Stephens County, and the non-region portion features games at Lumpkin, vs Habersham Central and at Pickens, as well as home against North Hall. This schedule we love, since it pits White County against some great rivalries such as Stephens, Lumpkin, Habersham and North Hall.

New program Denmark is on the schedule, as is new region arrival Flowery Branch.
